Vial filling, Stoppering & Cap sealing Machine

The VFSCM is and automatic machine having intermittent movement that can be connected directly to the sterilization tunnel or is available in “STANDALIONE” version. This machine is designed for the filling, stoppering and capping of glass or plastic vials of various sizes with a high degree of accuracy and reliability.

The machine has been designed to be both highly functional and very easy to clean. All metallic parts are manufactured in AISI 304 stainless steel with the exception of contact parts which are in AISI 316L stainless steel. The metallic parts have a mirror polish finish.

TIME PRESSURE (STANDARD)

Product dosing is achieved by and advanced system patented by G.F. (patent no PR2004A000033). The signals from the temperature sensor and pressure sensor at the product inlet are used to determine the time each valve remains open. The software automatically adjusts the filling time to reach the desired volume with a precision above ± 0.2% (referred to a 100 ml vial).

MASS FLOW METERS (OPTIONAL)

The mass flow meter based on Coriolis forces operates on a physical principle which is independent of the fluid properties such as viscosity and density.

Main Advantages

  • The mass flowmeter determines the actual filled volume in real time without the necessity of checking the weight of the container before and after filling.
  • Simultaneous and direct measurement of mass flow, density, temperature and viscosity (the flowmeters is a mulit-variable measurement device).
  • The measuring principle is independent of the physical fluid properties.
  • Very high measuring accuracy (typically ±0.1% with a water-based liquid).
  • Steillization temperature up to 250˚ C.
  • The CIP/SIP phases are executed without disassembling and part of the mass flow meter.
  • Very low maintenance requirements and high reliability since there are no moving parts.

CIP/SIP System (Cleaning In Place/Sterilization In Place)

The filling station is able to monitor the temperature of each nozzle (optional), and it is possible to set the sterilization cycle with TIME/TEMPERATURE or FO.

The false bottles are designed to allow cleaning/sterilization of the internal and external part of the fill tube and can be easily installed without any tools due to the quick release connections.

STOPPER APPLICATION

The machine picks up the stoppering using a vacuum and places onto the container.

The Stoppering system can function both in “FULL STOPPER” and “HALF STOPPER” application mode.

The machine also has an air extraction system in order to eliminate the particles on the RUBBER STOPPER.

CAP CRIMPING

The sealing station positions the aluminum caps on the vials and then crimps them with traditional rotating heads or with a blade device.

The machine also has an air extraction system in order to eliminate foreign particles created during crimping.

BALCONY DESIGN

The balcony design system is highly suitable to be located in an aseptic environment under vertical unidirectional air flow.

The processes are completely visible by the operator since they are carried out in the front of the machine.

All mechanical parts for movement are located behind the vial processing area inside a sealed enclosure.

LAMIAR AIR FLOW HOOD

OPTIONAL: The air module, built on an AISI 304 stainless steel frame, generates a unidirectional vertical air flow over the vials which has an extremely low concentration of particles and maintains a slight overpressure within the machine.

The safety guards are made of tempered glass and the entire machine is designed with great attention to every detail.
